Vaginal steaming? WTF is that?
Doctors say there’s no evidence it works—and it may even be dangerous. But Gwyneth Paltrow of Goop fame says it’s a good thing, so millions are gettin’ steamy. But there’s no evidence it makes a damn bit of difference. So vagina owners beware: You just don’t know how the herbs in the steam pot are going to affect your vagina – she might get seriously irritated. Or worse.
Don’t wash your vagina, wash your vulva
In Women’s Health magazine there’s an article that is a good guide to cleaning your vagina without getting all steamed up (leave that for your partner).
There is a healthy and proper way to clean your vagina and keep it fresh, healthy and happy. Well, maybe it’s better to get a little help on the “happy” part but as far as steaming goes, don’t. Outer parts that make up the vulva (clitoris, clitoral hood, labia) need “a little TLC,” but inside, in the vaginal canal, she’s pretty good at taking care of herself, despite all the goop coming out of Gwyneth Paltrow’s multi-million-dollar commercial “Goop.” Your in charge of your healthy, sexual well-being, not some goopy, unscientific marketing business with a pretty celebrity face.
