Lust is our inner lioness …
and she needs to be released – constantly!
(Great article)
[Lust is] “Owning that little kitty inside who wants to be a lioness, releasing her and listening for the soft purr to turn into a fierce, resounding roar.” – Anne Clendening
This “Lust & the Lovesick” article from Elephant Journal is the kind of sit-up-and-take-notice writing that we all need to remind us of what we already know, but take too much for granted. Women’s lust is real. Beautiful. And absolutely essential to our sexual well-being.
Anne Clendening offers wild, wicked and hilariously insights into love and lust and their connection.
“Love is the little bitch that gets teased by lust worse than a Jersey girl’s hair. Lust could easily kick its ass, and drink it under the table. Lust wouldn’t be caught dead watching a chick flick, enjoying the scent of fresh cut roses or dressing appropriately. It stays out past curfew and reads dirty magazines.”
Fun read. And if you’re short on time, skip to the end of the article where Anne includes one of the most visceral, glorious and loving odes to lust that you will ever read. It’s by Henry Rollins (I know, I know, he’s a guy … but a guy who understands lust), and it’s worthy of a ‘cut-and-paste’ in every woman’s journal. A taste: “We are gleaming animals painted in moonlit sweat glow. Our eyes turn to jewels and everything we do is an example of spontaneous perfection …”
