Sex has no finish line and …
it’s not a test. So why not be a better student?
“We have sex like Kenyan marathon runners.” – Olivia Wilde
Olivia Wilde (born Olivia Cockburn) is an actress not a marathon runner so not sure if she knows that any runner that can complete a marathon in 3 or even 4 hours is a fucking good runner. As for Kenyans, a man holds the Olympic record at 2:06:32 and an Ethiopian women at 2:23:07.
But … in sex? Well, 2 hours would be “like Kenyan marathon runners” but I’m not sure that wins anything. Hell, Sting (The Police), apparently has had tantra sex for 48 hours.
What Olivia, and all of us need to understand, is that winning sex is not like a marathon. In many ways it’s the antithesis. The magnificence in sex is found when there is no finish line, no goal. Only the shared journey matters and one of the most misconstrued ideas of sex is thinking of orgasms as the finish line.
Here’s a great article from Healthline that can get you started on being a better student of sex, If Sex Has to Have a Goal, It Should Be Pleasure — Not Orgasm – Here’s Why. Read now (6 min) >>
